Build and run extreme3dpro_driver

Installation

Build

cd ~/ros2_ws/src
cp -r /path/to/extreme3dpro_driver .
cd ~/ros2_ws
rosdep install --from-paths src --ignore-src -r -y
colcon build --packages-select extreme3dpro_driver
source install/setup.bash

Permissions

sudo usermod -aG input $USER
# log out and back in

Group change requires re-login to take effect.

Run

ros2 launch extreme3dpro_driver extreme3dpro.launch.py
ros2 run extreme3dpro_driver extreme3dpro_node \
  --ros-args --params-file config/extreme3dpro.yaml

Verify

ros2 topic echo /joy        # all axes & buttons
ros2 topic echo /cmd_vel    # hold trigger first
ros2 topic hz /joy           # check rate
